$10,000-$20,000 signing bonus depending on experience

We are a three doctor companion animal practice in a semi-rural, seashore resort community on the east end of Long Island. We treat mostly dogs and cats, with occasional birds and pocket pets, and I do a little work with a small dairy farm in the area. We serve a diverse clientele including local working people as well as second home owners and summer visitors. We also work with several animal shelters and provide pro bono services to a wildlife rehabilitation center.

The clinic is well equipped with digital x-ray (regular and dental), ultrasound, doppler BP, Olympus microscope, Idexx hematology and chemistry instruments, tonopen, endoscope, etc. We have a compassionate, competent, and experienced staff and strive to provide excellent medical care with a warm and personal connection to our clients. We see patients seven days a week, but refer emergencies after hours so there is no overnight on call. A four day week is an option.

In addition to competitive salary, the position offers 3 weeks paid vacation, holidays and CE. Benefits include full medical insurance and 401k plan. Professional growth and long term financial stability are encouraged.
