West Central Veterinary Services is a mixed animal practice in west central Indiana with clinics in Clinton, Greencastle, Rockville, and Veedersburg. We currently have two positions available at our Rockville facility. We are looking for team players who will be an integral part of our practice. In the small animal clinic, we offer soft tissue and orthopedic surgery, dentistry with dental rads, excellent medicine, chiropractic and acupuncture, and rehabilitation. We support career advancement with our staff and their pursuit of niche areas by our doctors, and subsequently by our technicians and staff.
The second is a large animal technician position. The large animal haul in facility is utilized for both horses and cattle. There are 37 stalls and 20 turnouts at the clinic. Our equine reproduction veterinarian, Dr. Ted Harpold, is standing 7 studs at the clinic with numerous mares being bred, approx. 150 this year, at the facility this year, as well as semen being shipped across the country. In addition, about 50 mares will be foaled this year at our clinic. Dr. Britni Thornburg-Hoover, our bovine reproduction veterinarian, collects and implants embryos for our clients, as well as collecting and freezing bull semen. An interest in equine and bovine reproduction is essential for the large animal position. Good communication skills with clients will be necessary since a significant portion of this position will be to discuss, explain, and schedule repro procedures and treatments. Breeding season from February through June will require some overtime hours and some rotating weekend hours.

Rockville is located in scenic Parke county, the covered bridge capital of the country. There are two state parks located in Parke county. It is a 30 minute drive to Terre Haute, and one hour drive to Indianapolis and Lafayette.
Registered or licensed veterinary technician or vet nurse degree, licensing in Indiana.
