Second Chance Animal Services is looking for compassionate, dedicated veterinarians to join our current team of 10 veterinarians. We have four hospitals and one shelter all located in Massachusetts. We currently offer the opportunity to work at one or multiple of our hospital locations (Springfield, Southbridge, North Brookfield, and Worcester, MA). SCAS has a wide support staff, and we take pride in working together as a team throughout all our locations.
Your employment would offer numerous options to explore your professional interests and develop your own niche while helping pets in underserved communities. Choose your path in surgery, community medicine, dentistry or a combination of these. New or recent graduates may be eligible for our mentorship program which provides training in surgery, dentistry, and community practice. All of our hospitals are equipped with full dental and surgical suites with all the equipment needed to practice high-quality medicine. This includes, but is not limited to, digital/ dental radiography with specialist review, ultrasonography, CO2 laser, advanced anesthetic monitoring, and in-house diagnostics. We will work with the right candidate to provide additional training in their areas of special interest or where improvement is needed.

Our hospitals see appointments Monday through Friday, and we occasionally offer community events on Saturdays at some locations. Opportunities to do offsite vaccine clinics and community outreach are also available.
