Dogs and Cats Emergency and Specialty (DCES) in Bowie, MD is currently seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join our growing team. Enjoy a predictable schedule, with no overnights!

DCES is a 24-hour emergency and specialty facility located in Bowie, Maryland, 30 minutes from Washington D.C., Baltimore, and Annapolis. Our specialty practice includes board certified specialists in critical care, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, neurology & neurosurgery, oncology, and surgery. Our new Urgent Care service
DCES' Urgent Care service provides a walk-in option for routine services and stable emergencies providing compassionate and convenient care to our clients. Our usage of an online check in process allows for a smoother triage process and acuity-level expectations of incoming patients.
In addition to having a dedicated Urgent Care Technician during each shift, our Urgent Care Doctors are supported by DCES’s exceptionally trained and amazing group of technicians, assistants, doctors, and management team. We are committed to continuous learning and growth, ensuring all team members have the skills and tools to perform at their best. You will always have the support of an ER doctor to manage cases if they turn out to be not so stable!
Our Urgent Care doctors can enjoy a predictable schedule of four 10-hour shifts per week, to include 2 weekend shifts per month. The proposed schedule would be a rotation of Wed – Sat and Tues – Fri during peak hours of 10A – 8P but can be adjusted within reason.
The ideal candidate

Our DCES team excels in teamwork and camaraderie, which provides exceptional service to our patients, clients and referring veterinarians. We are interested in speaking with internship-trained or experienced Emergency or General Practice Veterinarians, as well as new graduates seeking mentorship.
