Hermosa has been serving the Denver community for over 60 years. A small animal, family owned and operated facility, where we treat our staff like they are one of our own. Here at Hermosa our main goal is to give our patients the best care at an affordable price. Dr. Kurth's mission was to help as many pets as possible when care could not be afforded elsewhere, we have been striving to keep his mission alive even after his retirement 4 years ago. If you are looking for a place away from the corporate world and a place that feels more like family then we are the right fit for you. Hermosa is not the walk-in, paper-based clinic it used to be. We have transitioned to Avimark and scheduled appointments, with equipment updates to include; digital radiographs, digital dental radiographs, on-site ultrasound machine, Chemistry and CBC analyzer, Snap reader, cold therapy laser, SPO2/C02 monitors, and dopplers.
Hermosa is looking for a doctor who shares the same compassion for animals as its management team and staff. Someone with a passion for serving an underserved community. A doctor who can work through regularly scheduled appointments and surgeries and still be willing and able to fit in an emergency here or there. We do see emergencies, but only during business hours, which means no on call! Our team of Registered Veterinary Technicians will help ensure your day runs as smoothly as possible. At Hermosa we believe a doctor should be a doctor and we let our technicians do all the tech work.
We offer all the benefits you would find at huge corporate hospital but working here will give you an opportunity to practice veterinary medicine in a more open-minded way.
This is a full-time position that would include four, 8–10-hour shifts. Saturdays are required but only one to two per month. Must have Colorado DVM licensure or able to obtain one prior to start date, have a good bedside manner, and ability to work well with others.
