Palmer Veterinary Clinic is seeking a full or part-time associate veterinarian to come join our team.  We are a privately owned clinic (owner is a full-time practicing vet) that is very well equipped with modern equipment/lab in a newer facility that was specifically designed as a veterinary clinic.  An amazing team consisting of over 18 support staff members including five LVT’s. The owner and 3 current associates are very dedicated with lots of experience between them and enjoy discussing cases/performing surgeries together.  Because of the culture and the quality of the medicine that we practice, the regional Hills rep, the traveling ultrasonographer, traveling cardiologist, and the local police department all come to us for their pet’s care. 

The owner believes in working hard while at the clinic but being able to enjoy your time off when you are not working.  To support this, associate veterinarians work four set days each week and see appointments and/or perform procedures from 8:00 to 6:00 with an hour and half break in the middle of the day-no after hours or weekend work.  There is also an opportunity to work a schedule where you get a four-day weekend every other weekend that can be discussed during an interview.

• Compensation of $100K to $175K plus depending on experience and any expertise

Palmer Veterinary Clinic is the longest running privately owned clinic in the area with a great clientele, long term staff, and awesome clients.  Although the clinic has been around for decades, we have a state of the art lab with brand new machines, digital x-ray, the most current monitoring equipment available, paperless practice management software, and much more.  Palmer is a pet friendly community only 45 minutes from Anchorage, AK.  It has a small city feel-yet has all the amenities one would need  including grocery stores, box stores (i.e. wal-mart), movie theaters, restaurants, farmers market, and is less than an hour away from an international airport, warehouse clubs, outdoor stores (Cabelas, Bass Pro Shops, REI), etc..  It is a gateway for outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, skiing, and lots of other recreation activities.
