We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Director to join our team at the Akaal Veterinary Hospital in Sacramento. As the Medical Director, you will play a crucial role in leading our veterinary team, ensuring exceptional patient care, and maintaining the highest standards of veterinary medicine. You will have the opportunity to shape the practice's direction, foster a positive work culture, and provide mentorship to our veterinarians and support staff.
Provide leadership and oversight to our veterinary team, including veterinarians, technicians, and support staff.
Develop and implement medical protocols and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Collaborate with the management team to set and achieve practice goals and objectives.
Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork, communication, and professional development.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and support to veterinarians and staff members.
Oversee the management of medical cases, including diagnostics, treatment plans, and surgical procedures.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure timely and effective communication with clients.
Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine and incorporate best practices into the practice.
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school.
Current and valid veterinary license in the state of Nevada, or eligibility to obtain one.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in small animal veterinary practice.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
Strong diagnostic, surgical, and medical skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
