Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic is seeking an Associate Veterinarian

Hyde Park Veterinary Clinic was established in 2002 and has become a staple in the historic Hyde Park neighborhood in South Tampa. Hyde Park is Tampa Bay’s most prestigious historic neighborhood and is home to some of the area’s finest shopping, dining, and nightlife. We are close to downtown Tampa and just a couple of blocks from beautiful Bayshore Boulevard. Our neighborhood is also home to many of Tampa Bay’s most famous athletes, including the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team!

We are a 5-doctor practice with an amazing staff and wonderful, loyal, and compassionate clients that take great care of their pets and allow us to provide a high standard of comprehensive care for them. Our clinic has 8 exam rooms, a fully equipped surgical suite with top-of-the-line equipment, a dental suite, digital/dental radiography, ultrasound, CBLO, and Laser therapy. Additionally, we are a Certified Low Stress Handling Clinic and the first in our area to be certified by AAFP as a Cat Friendly Practice.

Our Services

We offer services that are integrative and cutting-edge including: Wellness and Prevention screening, Surgery, Dental Care and Radiology, Acupuncture, Therapeutic Laser Treatment, Low Stress Nail Care, International and Domestic Travel Assistance, Comprehensive Medicine and Nutritional Consultation, Radiosurgery, Full In-House Pharmacy, In-House Internal Medicine Consultations and Ultrasonography. We do not offer any boarding or grooming services.

Work Information

• Each doctor is paired with 2 technicians each shift.
• Appointment hours are 8:30-6 Monday through Friday; 8:30-12 Saturdays; closed on Sundays.
• All doctors work 4 days a week (with either a 1 hour or 2-hour lunch break, depending on the shift) and alternating Saturdays mornings.
• Each doctor has a designated surgery day each week.
• We refer all after-hour emergencies and overnight and critical cases to Bluepearl or Fetch
• We have fully integrated Idexx in-house lab equipment and utilize Idexx reference lab and Idexx digital radiography.
• We have digital dental radiography with well-trained dental technicians.
• We use Cornerstone and we are paper-lite.

• Skilled team of technicians and assistants that are well utilized and are responsible for all anesthetics, bloodwork, x-rays, and recovery.

Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of experience
• A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Licensure in good standing to practice in the state in which the applicant is to be employed.
• The ability to make decisions and communicate clearly and effectively with fellow team members.
• A commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine, upholding the veterinary code of ethics
