Bensenville Animal Hospital is seeking an experienced, full-time Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team!

About our Hospital: Bensenville Animal Hospital is a full-service, cat-friendly, small animal hospital located near Chicago. It is our commitment to provide quality, veterinary care throughout our patients' lives. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as pets age; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during their lifetime. We are an established practice, that recently moved into a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, and with that growth, we are ready to add to our medical team!
Hospital Highlights:
- Paperless records
- 6 rooms (one euthanasia room / “comfort suite”)
- 2 rooms for cats / 3 rooms for dogs
- One surgery suite that can support basic or routine surgery. Dr. Hertz allows the VAs to assist with surgery.
- Bensenville does not support overnight emergencies. However, our hospital is equipped to keep animals overnight, if necessary, on a case-by-case basis.

About You: If you are a confident, organized veterinarian who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys caring for a wide range of cases, we want to talk with you! Our ideal candidate has experience (or interest) in Orthopedic surgery, specifically TTA, TPLO, and plating/fracture repair.
Location: Bensenville is a 30-minute ride on the Metra Train to Chicago. Chicago is among the largest cities in the U.S. Famed for its bold architecture, it has a skyline rivaled by no other US city. Chicago’s tourists, as well as residents, love spending their days in the city, exercising, going to the beach, or taking in a baseball game - are you a Sox or a Cubs fan? Ideal Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience preferred.
- Illinois Veterinary License – active and in good standing.
- A team-oriented mentality that supports our positive, collaborative culture.
- Interest or experience in surgery, exotics, and/or birds a plus.
- Leadership mindset with a desire to advance at our practice and be a strong mentor to our team.
- Personable with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
