New Cattitude is a non-profit 501c3 focusing on animal welfare. We are looking for a compassionate, efficient Veterinarian for our high-volume, low-cost spay/neuter and wellness clinic. A DVM/VMD who is passionate about accessible veterinary care and committed to reducing feral/stray/abandoned animal overpopulation. This role focuses on delivering essential veterinary services with an emphasis on surgical efficiency, preventative care, and clear client communication. You will perform impactful work in a high-volume efficient environment alongside a supportive team committed to accessible veterinary care for all cats/dogs/other small animals in our community.

Surgical Responsibilities
Perform high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgeries safely and efficiently.
Conduct physical exams for pet animals prior to sterilization surgery and physically examining stray/feral cats under sedation for sterilization surgery.
Follow best practices in anesthesia and pain management during surgery and post-op recovery.
Oversee recovery and address any post-op complications.
Wellness & Preventive Care
Administer vaccines, deworming, microchips, and other basic preventive care during scheduled appointment times.
Diagnose and treat minor medical conditions within the scope of services offered.
Recommend referral to full-service care for cases outside clinic scope.
Qualifications:
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degree from an accredited institution.
Active veterinary license in Pennsylvania.
DEA license (or willingness to obtain).
Minimum of 1-year surgical experience, preferably spay/neuter or shelter medicine.
Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work efficiently in a high-volume clinic environment.
Willingness to work with feral cats.
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong commitment to accessible/efficient/compassionate community-based veterinary care
Current professional liability policy
Preferred Skills:
Experience in High quality, high volume spay neuter clinic, shelter medicine, or community veterinary programs.
Multilingual skills a plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Additional Information
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks related to surgery and animal handling
Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding surgical tasks.
Comfortable with the physical and emotional aspects of high-volume animal care.
